Academic and Artistic Education

In my current research, I examine the mechanisms of the capitalist work world and classical cello music to make parallels between both areas visible and audible. Drawing on Deleuze's critique of representational thinking (1968), I develop cello-based sound experiments, texts, and visual works that open up surprising, humorous, and reflective perspectives on both worlds—especially where their structures and dynamics intersect.

In my PhD research, I investigated the differences and similarities between artistic and entrepreneurial thinking, as well as the possibilities of abstracting artistic thinking and acting in such a way that it can become a driver for innovation in organizational processes. Using the „Research Question Model“ I was able to follow an artistic research approach and hence wave together empiric data from phases „Exegesis“ and „Creative Production“ into one source of knowledge.
The result of the dissertation can be read from two different perspectives:
The business relevant result is a scalable framework that can be used to develop the innovative capacity of organizations.
The art relevant result is an art work and the reflection of the production process which is based on the experiment of using the „academic peer review“-method from an artistic point of view and commenting on academic research with acting, composition, choreography and illustration.
